Thanks guys! The pictures help a lot!

The clips in the shot from CudaCarlos and Jas look like the deluxe model from the web sites Jas mentioned. Also look easy to get a paddle into since they have a little lever that would be easy to push down without moving forward in the boat. I will try to find a set to actually look at.

Also just noticed the placement of radio in Oceanhunter's blue yak and like that idea. I put mine in my pfd top pocket but dont like that particularly (my only pocket). Ive been thinking about another fly fishing type vest to give me a few more pockets. They are great for trout fishing and should do the job for salt as well.

As usual, I just moved from the area the Kayak Fishing Stuff shop Jas mentioned is located in. Have waited until I moved to buy the yak but have been thinking about it for some time. Jersey always seemed to have great fishing just beyond the surf line for blues, stripers, trout, etc. Im finding out I should have done this a long time ago.

Davey, I also looked at the strap clips but hope to find something that I can actually place the paddle in while remaining in the seat...kinda a push to lock clip and maybe a toe push to remove. I thought they would work best for securing something for a longer period (speargun). They probably are more secure however so I guess it depends on needs. After checking out the blue rigged yak I see he has 3 sets mounted on his and all appear different.
