What style boat do I need?

I'm going to buy a kayak for river fishing in middle Tennessee. A few rapids but white water is nonexistent. I'm 5'10" and weigh 220. I've done alot of paddling but have never used a kayak. What should I look for in boat? Should it be sit in or sit on top?
