Thanks Piranha, I'm looking for advice on how to safely tie down the yak on top of my two door coupe! No one makes roof rack for the model I'm driving, I've checked with southwind kayak so I bought the foam blocks from them and some tie downs. I will be picking my yak this Satuarday from Malibu kayak and head down to Newport, but this would be the very first time in transporting on this car(it's a Mitsubish Eclipse, 03 model). Any advice on how to make it safer besides the idea I got which is just tieing it down around the roof and also beaneth the front and back bumper of the car. The ide kinda makes me jittery? that's definitely a big concern since I don't have any racks and my car has a somewhat a round roof, it's not a beatle type of round but I think the angle is enough to where the front of the kayak might be pointing upward when put on top of the car.
