: I am on the market to buy a fishfinder. What do you experts recomend for a scupper pro OK? I heard a lot of good things about the Hummibird DX200. I would like to know the pros and cons of the portable and non portable models...suggestions anyone? I am also open to other makes and models. If you know a good one let me know. Looking at the Price range from $100 - $300.

I can only offer my opinion on the Hum Brd 100 wide SX. Its your basic model for a FF and is portable. With this model I can read schools of bait fish, find structure and depth with ease. It is also portable, which comes in handy when you are renting a kayak at a fishing resort, or you can bring it on a buddies boat who doesn't have sonor. Plus you dont have to drill holes in your kayak to install it. It runs around $130.00

Good luck,
Andy
