I fished there once several years ago. As I recall the permit was very expensive. We went to the back end of the bay, and there were zillions of fish feeding on the surface - lots of ripples and splashes - but I could not get them to take anything I offered.
If I ever try it again, I would like to go under the freeway and try the west end of the lagoon. I have been told some large halibut have been taken there, but I don't know if that is still possible - this may have been long ago.
