Kayak recovery

Hey guys, I was taking a load of "stuff" to the dump and came across an OK Scrambler. It broke my heart to see it plus I always have at least one person wanting to go out who does not have a kayak. I've decided to attempt to repair it.
The damage seems to be cracks on the top side (UV rays are the likely suspect). Can anyone walk me through the best way to seal existing cracks? I know some chemicals will melt the kayak and others don't bond. What works for you guys?
