Mr. DMAC,
I have a Cobra Tourer, This is a longer model than the Navigator, but similar in shape and design. I just converted my portable fish finder into a semi-permanent installation. Everything is reversible however. If you would like to see some pictures of my installation, I just put them up on "Webshots®" last night. I used Plumbers Goop and am happy with it. I roughed up the inside of my hull where the transducer would be mounted with 80 grit sandpaper. I then put a large dollop of Goop on the transducer and then positioned it in the hull with a ¼ turn twist and even force. I then placed a lead shot bag over it to hold the transducer in place over night. I tested the installation in my neighbor's pool to make sure it worked. His saved me a trip to the beach, hmm maybe I should taken it to the beach to test it out, that was a ready made kitchen pass that I threw away. I have used it twice now and it seems to work perfectly so far. I hope that this may be of some help.
