When I found out they were going to open up in October I was looking forward to taking my kayak up there to check it out, then I found out about the "rules". No sit on tops allowed. Then I thought my friend and I could go up there in his boat and do some fishing. Can't do that either. Only direct injected 2 stroke or 4 stroke outboads are allowed on the lake. Not only that, you can't use gas with MTBE in it. You must provide a reciept to show you bought gas from 76 or another station who don't sell gas with MTBE in it. But wait, it gets more rediculious, you must get your boat inspected to make sure you are complying with all these "rules" before you
can go on the lake. They are also going to spot check boats to see if they have any MTBE in thier tanks. If they do, those lucky anglers are shore fishing that day. Then I was thinking about renting a boat. $85 for a 1/2 day for a "bass boat" and $110 for a 1/2 day for a 8 person pontoon boat. And all rental boats require
a $100 deposit. I decided to just say Screw That Place! I'd rather fish in the big salty anyway. Way too many rediculious rules and regulations that get in the way of having a good time for me. Here is thier link. www.dvlake.com
