: the stories out of this place are epic! even if you don't want to fish this lake, you should practice sounding off.

Cliff,
It's strange how many things change in business after you support their ideas or programs. I remember reading an article in WON I believe it was a few months back. There were some meetings taking place about the allowable use of the lake, and someone from the water district was saying they weren't sure about allowing fishing, after all they are there to supply water, not recreation. It sounded at the time to me like after the district got what they wanted for permits and being allowed to even build it, not to mention our $$, they suddenly had second thoughts on what they considered "allowable use". Then nothing for a few months, now again their allowing fishing. Of course, only from certain craft this time around. Who knows, maybe they plan to do the same thing the Irvine Co. is doing to Irvine Lake in a few years. Put cookie-cutter $700k + houses around it, a sports center, and of course a nice golf course and boat dock. Are we going to be able to fish there after all this takes place? No one seems to know.

Hey, when you coming out to do some more fishing? For numbers, Huntington Harbor has been doing real good. Cabrillo and Redondo has been kicking out some decent Halibut numbers also. Lobster season starts up next month also. Just a thought,
Perry C.
