Darryl,
Cut a piece of pool noodle off and just wrap it around.
When it is windy or rough conditions I cut my rig down to three hooks.
I sit side saddle in the kayak. When the bait is on, I put the plano bucket on the deck and lower the bait still on the sabiki into the plano bait bucket, by the time I put my rod in a holder and put my hand in the plano bucket, most if not all the bait has already worked themselves off the sabiki and are swimming around in the bait bucket.
With my power bait tank it is the same procedure, except that I lean over the seat back to get to the bait tank.
