: Davey:You actually launch at Davenport Landing, which is about a mile up the road to the North. It's the first paved road on the left going North. The road goes out to a cool pocket beach then curves back out to Hwy 1. The launch is in deep water with a reef on one side and a headland on the other.Waves can be 3-6' on each side, but only 6" at the launch point. Good reefs and kelp beds there as well as sandy areas for flatties. It's far enough away from town that fishing pressure is light, and rockfish and lings are numerous.Let me know when you want to go out there and we'll hook up.Allen: : I love Summer!I'll be launching early tomorrow from harbor for halibut if there is live bait available, or from Davenport for lings if no bait.Company welcome.Allen Where do you launch in Davenport? I know where the cafe and the store is, but across the highway there is a dirt road, is that where you go?

I sold a cabin about a mile from felton and moved 13 years ago to some desolete place without saltwater, so the drive with a kayak is my main concern; but hey, if you are around when the WSB are biting at the cement plant, I might make a trip. I know that is later in the year, so good luck with the fishing there.
