I love that area around Santa Cruz. I've caught a few YTs and WSBs there. They seem to pass through that area when they're either circling the island or moving through.
My favorite reef is that large reef just inside of Gull Rock (side closest to
Santa Cruz). Drifting through there w/ large plastics, irons, or shrimp flies on dropper loops.
Sounds like a GREAT trip! Visions is a great boat. I saw some photos and their spec sheet. When I lived in SB, I never saw any sportfishing or dive boats that looked that nice.
