: Can the Richie flush mount compass be mounted flat? I have a FND and long legs so my feet tend to be in the last foot well. There are no other vertical places to mount anything on the deck...Thanks.

Good question. I've seen them mounted flat and they still work.

In my Scupper TW, my feet rest in the last footwell. I mounted my compass up against the end of the footwell. I have to move my foot to see it though that's not a problem. Once mounted, it only sticks out about 1/8". I placed it where the arch of my foot would rest. That way I don't feel it when my foot rests up against the last footwell.

Hope that makes sense.
