: Ill bet hummingbird doesnt know your trying to mount puck in a plastic kayak that has a hull that will flex. Epoxy works well for rigid hulls but will pop off plastic and isnt really made to be flexable. You may want to use something like marine (or plumbers) goop or 3M 4700. Dont use silicone since it has no holding power even though it flexes great.BobPS: I have used 4700 but many others swear by goop.: Thanks jas . . . humminbird actually has an epoxy set they recommend, and I got that. The big experiment goes down this weekend . . . here's hopin I don't mess it up.!

I've had luck with 2 part epoxy but Bobert's right...it doesn't flex. I have pucks on two kayaks. One puck has stayed without any problems and the other is starting to come off. With epoxy, you have to be more carefull to letting the kayak rest on its hull. When I redo the other puck, I'm going to try the Goop.
