Makos, even by crazy guys, get the long distance release. I've seen little ones chew on swim steps and everything else that interests them, and what happens if a big one shows up. One night a BIG mako killed the hell out of a seal right by our boat. I thought about doing it from a yak once, for bout a second.Have fun,Vic
vic i have noticed the smaller ones tire easily and can be managable, last year i caught and released a twenty pounder on a 11 foot boat. From a kayak i guess its too dangerous.
