: :I also noticed that when I was paddling I was hitting the sides of the kayak with the paddle quite a bitMegaladon,Is this your 1st kayak? Have you tried paddling other models and do you hit the boat with them also? You might want to take a moment to analyze your paddling style and perhaps try a longer paddle depending on how tall you are and how steep your paddling style is. If you are using a 220cm, try out a 230 or 240cm.Just a thought.Keith

Great suggestion! I forgot to mention also that with a seat lift, you will lose some of your paddle length. Keith is right, if you're blade is coming out of the water and smacking your boat, it could be too short. The lift will make it even shorter. The lift should adjust your paddle stroke a bit (a little more vertical)but you may require an even longer paddle to make up for the 3" lift.

Try also adjusting the heck out of your seat straps if you haven't already (maybe tighten the back straps up a little).
