That's a good deal Ted, I got mine for $80 not including tax at REI. I like it alot and don't have a problem paddling. I can snug it real tight to my bodyl. You can stow alot of stuff in those pouches. I got flares, chem-lights, mirror, flashlight, gps, power bar, and compass in them, with still some spare room. my new vhf radio fits in there too with the antenna sticking out, but i have to remove the gps. my military strobe is strapped to the left shoulder side & a knife clipped through the knife holder.
: I picked up a MTI Discovery PFD off ebay for under $60.00 brand new.I am very impressed. It is a type III and designed for paddlers. There are 7 different points for adjustment, reflective tape, d-rings , knife clip and two nice self draining pockets. It is very comfortable. I can't wait to try it out. My other PFD is a Walmart special, that is near the end of it's expected life span.I'll make another report after I take it out on a day of fishing.-Ted
