Hey there from Texas. I found the link to this site from OK's photos page. If y'all don't mind, I included the link the the Texas-flavored page of the same sport. Our board has a LOT of info on boat setup and comparo's, and we're kind to visitors so long as they're in a plastic boat.

I'm on the verge of buying either an OK Scupper TW or a WS Tarpon. The Tarpon is oh-so the rage here in Texas (translation- they are PROUD of them $$$), and I was wondering how you'd rank the Scupper TW's speed/stability in the surf and swells. I plan to do as much surf/gulf fishing as I do bay fishing, and I figure a second opinion is always a good thing.

You have a GREAT site, by the way! Two more questions: I've read some posts on "reds." Exactly which fish is this. Surely y'all cannot be referring to Gulf redfish. I have plans to chase tarpon along the coast (Gulf Coast, that is) this summer, and I'm just currious as to how one handles larger marine life in a smaller boat? By the way, while they may not be as threatening as a shark, a BIG tarpon (150+ lbs.) can most assuredly drag your arse to Mexico. With its gills FLARING the entire way, man. Vamanos!
