: Howdy!
: I noticed that Cobra's are fairly populer on the west coast. I've been looking at paddel boats for a while, and have test paddled a few, and have a question. Why would everyone here in Texas overlook the Cobra Tourer? I have paddled it, seems to be fast and somewhat stable. I have not, however paddeled the Tarpon(the local favorte), so I am missing out on the direct comparison. The Tourer looks nice, though, with three hatches AND a tankwell. What am I missing?

: Thanks,
: Jerry

Hi Jerry some guys are picking up the tarpon out here, But the tarpon & fish n' dive are better match. The tank well is great lot's toys you can put back there. Also the fish n'dive you can get to your hatches very easy. The 10 inch hatch has a bucket holds my tackel for the day.I also set up a fish hole with the same hatch. Left the bucket out of the hatch and drop my fish in a dry bag i have rig to it with blue ice to hold my fish. All so it's a very dry ride. Im a big guy it works for me. I did long paddle fishing a tournament. Paddled great.Cobras a good all round kayak for big guys.Holds lots of gear! lot of deck room.
Jerry hope you can post some of you trips would love to read about kayakfishing other areas! Please.
