Cobra tourer

Howdy!
I noticed that Cobra's are fairly populer on the west coast. I've been looking at paddel boats for a while, and have test paddled a few, and have a question. Why would everyone here in Texas overlook the Cobra Tourer? I have paddled it, seems to be fast and somewhat stable. I have not, however paddeled the Tarpon(the local favorte), so I am missing out on the direct comparison. The Tourer looks nice, though, with three hatches AND a tankwell. What am I missing?
