Every year the sand bass spawn off Huntington flats. Yesterday I joined the fleet about 5 miles straight out from the power plant, my longest paddle to date. Barracuda were jumping around my yak chasing bait fish. Scored a nice 22" gumper, paddle past a Coast Guard cutter on my way in it's nice to know our waters are safe for adventures like these.
