: Hey do you guys like your scuppers? I have a tarpon 160 but I am thinking of getting a scupper instead and I`m curious what you guys like and don`t like about them. Any comments are appreciated.

I love my Scupper TW. It's fast and super reliable. Handles rough conditions and chop very well. Also great for long distances.

It's a narrow yak and doesn't work or fit for everyone though I suppose that's why manufacturers make several models. Relatively speaking, narrow and long compromises some stability but I've personally never had a problem with this yak.

I always thought the deck was excellent until I saw and fished from a few other boats. It doesn't have the deck area though there's still room for sonar, compass, cup holder, cut bait, etc.

I've always thought that a "front hatch" / "rear tankwell" combo is the way to go. It's an individual sport so "to each his/her own"...but it just has always made sense since it's debut years ago. A place to put your fish or topside cargo and a place to enter the yak to store and secure gear.
