I know of a couple, but the sharks were under 100 lbs. Not the species of shark I would recommend targeting from a yak. I use mono leaders while Thresher fishing for the very reason if a Mako jumps my bait, it will get through the leader in most instances, no contact release is best. One very unpredictable shark, to be sure, watch your fingers and toes! TL Rhino
