I went out in CKF's clinc today.
I caught a big ol dogfish. I got a short tow from that one and Dennis helped me release it hook free. I tied up to a lone kelp stringer before the flat fish drift and must of found all the fish. I had a guitar fish on one line while I caught a few 11" calicos, smelt, a blue rock fish (just looked it up) and senorita fish on my bait rig.
I was too light on the drift and I had a few hook ups bite right through my line. O yeah I forgot when we were first out, Cuda Carlos and I were catching tiny calicos on our bait rigs, maybe 2 inches. There was a school in the first patch of kelp.
Dennis finished of the day with a 10-12 pound halibut. I also got to see two mantis shrimps. Mr. T made an appearance with an almost Shamoo slide into Cuda Carlos's yak.
