For what its worth... There are a lot of great kayaks on the market. I test drove all the ones that I thought would be "The Right One" for me!
I JUST PURCHASED TWO PRO EXPLORERS TODAY!!!
These will replace my Cobra FnDs.
IMHO- I think the FnD is a PIG to drive! Im not saying anything bad for it is a good kayak for some people. I just think it is a pain in the ass to paddle any distances and the foot wells are not wide enough. Yes it is stable but so is the explorer.
I am 5-10 and 165 lbs and in very good shape.
I fit very well in the explorer and I think it will be with me a long time.
Do your homework... Dont let price or status fool you. Get the one that is right for YOU! test drive them all - THEN GO BUY YOUR EXPLORER!
