: You can either scroll down a few threads or just click on the link below. I love my Scupper Pro TW. It's a different type of kayak entirely than the Pro Explorer. If you were going to throw the Pro Explorer into a group of kayaks to compare them to, you would see the Scrambler XT, some of the Ocean Kayak Tandems, Cobra Fish & Dive, Cobra Navigator, and possible one of Cobra's Tandems. Though if you're comparing it to any tandem, we're talking solo paddling, not 2 people. The Scupper, like most touring kayaks if not all, paddles with less effort and is a quicker kayak. The dimensions are totally different so the performance dynamics are different. You can't get it all in one kayak. Though both the Pro Explorer and the Scupper Pro are great kayaks and you can't go wrong with either one of them if you were only to own one. Also keep in mind that I just got the Pro Explorer. I've had a Scupper Pro for about 2 years. I'm not looking to eat it in the surf zone, but until I do a few times, run over a few rocks, etc; I wouldn't really want to compare the 2 at all. The Scupper is battle tested. I've rolled it a few times and run over a few rocks landing at Leo or Corral in low tide. Though I did battle test the Pro Explorer the other day w/ 2 nice Thresher shark battles. Until I encounter the same circumstances and dynamics as I have with the Scupper Pro, my opinion is limited to my experience with the new kayak. Though it did hold up well fighting big game.

: : RE:Wondering why you bought the pro? Is the scupper pro any better? Will you state for the record, the pro's and con's....hmm...contiki.

RE: Is the sleigh ride any different?
