I'm very happy with the Extreme and especially the service I received. Sean, Simon and Ric are top notch in my book.

: : I've noticed more and more eX's being purchased and that is a good thing. There has been more than a little resistance from the industry about the acceptance of the Malibu line of yaks.I've been yakfishing for 6 years and was not around when the BIG comapanies started their line of yaks.I'm not aware of the initial production problems from OK, Cobra or Necky. If they had problems, they have been corrected because all of the major yak Co's produce a good dependable product. But what have they done for us lately? In the last 4 years no one has answered the call of our little niche, the hard core yak fisher. There hasn't been one yak released that has listened to the fisherman needs, nunca - nada - nothing.I was all set to get the a Prowler except for that center hatch mistake. Then I was told by the local experts that my ass was too fat for the Prowler.I was told the water on the hatch was my fault... not Ok's.I hadn't even heard about Malibu until JimmH replied back to my bad mouthing the FnD. I looked at the specs for the Malibu and was liking what I saw.The biggest reason for my purchase of the eX is that the owner, not some 2 bit sales person, not some half assed fishing expert, but the owner listened as I picked a part his yak with a critical eye. The owner let me, in the middle of his store, say what I thought were concerns about the design and not once did the OWNER get defensive about his product. He listened. We talked. He explained. Can you get that from OK? Cobra? Sure there are issues, likes and dislikes with every line of yaks. We deserve and should demand a product or products that suit our needs and address our concerns. Fisherman spend a lot of money to fish. The Smith family buys one yak and it sits in the garage. I've puchased three in the last 6 years. So if my fat ass makes the hatch unusable then bloody fix it!That's why we should support Malibu kayaks, they listen.ArtI have too agree with you. I drove up and bought one a week ago and the service was note worthy. I called them today with some feedback about the boat and they were very receptive to my comments.
