Jerman,
Do a search regarding Striper Bass in the Bay Area they are the game fish to catch. They will give a good fight just like the White Seabass of Socal. They are found in Mare Island, Port Chicago, Richmond and pier piles along San Francisco Bay starting off Third ave on out the Bay.

: I am moving to SF and can't find any useful info on the species up there and the type of fishing to expect. Or even if people yak fish in that cold water.Any info would be a big help. Thanks in AdvanceJErman
