The latest copy has a very large emphasis on fishing from yaks. I just thumbed through it real quick for now, but seen alot of writing, comparisons, photos, and kayak fishing advertisements. The slant seemed toward freshwater fishing, but there may be some tips in there, or just enjoyable reading. I freshwater yak fish so I'm going to enjoy it either way. I HAVE NOT read it yet, so I could be wrong.

I was thumbing through and cracking up because the comparisons, reviews, article, photos, and advertisements were on some companies and yak names I never heard of!!! I only heard the mention of some of these a few times and never thought to even look at them on the web, but they had nice marketing adverstisements, I was impressed. Anyhoo, I'm so use to hearing about the comparisons between Malibu Kayaks and Ocean, and neither of the two were remotely mentioned. It kind of shows you just how little of a world us Californians choose to live in, kind of a reality check. The rest of the world can continue to move on in this sport with or without our shouting matches on the boards, and it will move on while COMPLETELY ignoring our small community of opinions.

Then again, California has been at the tip of the sword of many issues, and the rest have followed once the dust has cleared, maybe that will happen in this arena..

As you can see I'm bored, I never take the time to type like this. Oh chiiit, I gotta get ready to hit Dana tomorrow!!!....got me a new Avet reel I think I finally know how to use, finished my 3 1/2 gallon bucket bait tank to fit in my eXtreme molded area and I got it hooked to a flush mounted aeorator timer. Got a cool tackle holder that fits perfectly in the rear rectangular hatch that holds 4 plano boxes vertical for easy access, looks custom made it fits so well. Oh yeah, got my mounted GPS receiver hooked into my Matrix fishfinder that I think I know how to use now too.

G'nite peoples,

Greg
