: Can those that use Spoons/Irons please post the: Brand,Size,Hook# and the type of fish they are fishing for. This is for research.

When the bite is on, tossing irons has got to be my favorite type of fishing. Tossing them at or around boiling fish, letting them drop for a couple of seconds and then reel. Jigging them, yo yo'ing, lettm sink deep and then reeling fast....etc; All sorts of colors, it's hard to say what to use for what every time. Though some fish do respond better to certain colors most of the time. I like Blue/white for bass/cuda/YTs;a bunch of fish will hit that color if presented well. I like Scrambled Egg and shadow(Black/white Tady mix) for YT's/Dorado/cuda.
I like white for WSB/Ling/bass; and a bunch of others. Mackeral colors are good, chrome irons good for Wahoo/Cuda/some bass, mixed dark and bright colors for some of larger rockfish and lings.
I think my favorite Irons are Tady. It's tough since I've had success w/ Iron Man and Salas too. I'd say Salas comes in 2nd for me.

I like to use Spoons around the kelp when the water warms up and the sun is shining. Though I'm more a plastic man under these conditions. I didn't hit the Salmon bite up, but some of the larger green and blue spoons seem to be working on them this year.
