I have a Pro Explorer and I like the stability. I paddled a Cobra Navigator a week ago out of Newport Aquatic Center, and I noticed the instability despite the wider hull. I also almost dumped several times in calm water, reaching over for a water bottle from my buds. I think it might be that the hull is a little deeper, so the parts of the boat on both sides of the keel may not be entirely supporting the yak; so when there's an imbalance, it has to tilt much further before the side floats because the middle tends to want to float up. The Pro Explorer is great though. I've never dumped before. I like it. The only thing is the hull on the Pro Explorer seems thinner than the Cobra hulls.
