I just fished there for the first time last weekend, but I'll try and answer your questions.

Where is the best place to launch from?

We launched just south of the reef. This is a surf spot so you will need to check the swell before you go. My guess is when the NW swells show up it would be a really tough launch. Small south swells are no problem.

Where has it been productive for you?

We found a nice open area in the kelp just south of swamis point to the north. I also found bait there.

Where is the kelp located, South or North? How far out is the kelp?

The kelp is straight out and parrallels the beach to the north and south. It is probably a 1/2 mile paddle to get the inner edge of the kelp.

What bait has worked for you?Any info you could help me with would be great?Thank You.

See the report I submitted yesterday. I hooked up drifting two ounce egg sinker and a spanish mac. As soon as I go the initial strike, I turned the clicker off and let him run with it for about 10 seconds. The first hook up I only let him run for 5 and he made off with my bait leaving me with a bare hook.

Good luck!

Kevin
