I've been paddling the pro2 for over a year and a half now. I mostly saltwater fish solo from the rear seat, however have fished freshwater tandem (two adults and 1 adult 1 child). Fishing tandem is difficult when you have two experienced fisherman aboard. Both want to be casting, trolling, getting the better position (amateur pro bass tourney style), but it sure is fun, especially when pretending to "accidently" hitting your bud with a fresh dirty nightcrawler. I find it easier paddling with a child, and I say paddling with emphasis because it's all on you (adult)...I don't seem to have time to fish myself, untangling lines, putting bait on, casting, getting snacks/drinks from down below, etc....So another words, it's easier for me because only one person is really fishing.

The pro2 has alot of storage space and is very stable. It's slow though compared to single kayaks, and that's the only disadvantage I seem to encounter. Doesn't stop me from catching the same fish everyone else does though; halibut, wsb, threshers, bonito, trout, crappie, bass, etc....

I am thinking about getting a tandem kayak to take my dad out fishing, he has a messed up shoulder and cannot paddle himself, looking for mainly stability and a little speed, been looking at the Malibu Kayak pro tandem, OK Malibu 2, and the Cobra Tandem, if any of you can give me a little insight on any of these kayaks it would be much appreciated, I will be test paddleing every kayak that I have mentioned above but would like some thoughts from some people that currently own them. Thanks a lot for all your help.
