: Thanks for follow up on that. I've been getting at least 1-2 emails a week either asking about the Drifter, or specifically asking about it holding(taking on) extra unwanted water.

: It seemed a little discouraging that a company that makes such awesome kayaks would have one that potentially had some design flaws with no "set in stone" way of resolving those concerns. Their logic might have been that most people don't comlain so that as long as the majority didn't raise concerns, they were content with their results.

: I'm sure it's easier said then done, but they should redesign. I think it's a little rediculous for every Drifter owner to come up w/ their own solution to deal w/ their design flaw.

: That's great you finally ran into someone at the company that had solid advice for the problem. I'm not sure if they're all on the same page yet (meaning if you called and got a different guy, you might get a different answer). Hopefully everyone taking calls, emails, or letters have been instructed to give the same remedy as the one you were provided. Hearing people have to use duck tape on a brand new yak meant for this sport.................That's what research and development stages are suppost to prevent.
: They absolutly should COMP everyone the extra scupper plugs that have their yak registered with Ocean Kayak (that would be good business).

: jas-

I agree Jas, comping them would be the thing to do ( they compped mine ). maybe they will when they get the responses, after all, if you already have bought 4 of the Drifter stoppers, they owe you the ones that fit properly. This would mean they would only have to comp 2 of the oversized ones. Hopefully they will do this.
But at any rate, the advantage of having a DRY RIDE is definitely worth the extra $$$$.
