Brian,
After every trip the ones I take out, go in the laundry tub in the garage and I wash them with a spray nozzle on a hose and blast them with hot water. I dry them with a terry cloth. Open up any that have the quick change spool feature and let them air dry, then a day or two later they get lubed with Penn Lube oil.
Some are not so pretty. Trick photography!
