The rope is connected via o-ring. That makes it easy to snap my anchor line onto it.

With anchor rope attached, it is a simple matter of pulling the rope one way or the other and the yak will respond (just like a slothesline). This makes it easy to position the yak to make casting easier. Especially if it's windy or there is a current involved (or both). I haven't had a chance to try out a drift sock, but I intend to first chance I get.

I hope these pictures will give you some ideas for rigging your yak. I bought the cheep stuff from the hardware store and it will probably corrode, but hey, I know where to get more. West Marine probably also carries all the hardware you need in stainless.
