As they say, it was Lake Pacifica today. It's been a LONG time since I've seen Leo's conditions like they were. Mild wind from opposite directions countered each other out. Almost "0" current (unfortunately), but great conditions for just being out on the water.
Surf picked up, but the waves were really lazy. Vic, Oceanhunter, and myself seemed to hit mostly bass; sandies and calicos. Even though the fishing seemed slow, we all managed to catch a good number. I caught a few Olive Rockfish (one released himself because I screwed up; holding too many things in my hands while trying to string him up.
BTW, thanks Vic for taking a couple snaps of that juicy Calico we released. It was 21" and was FAT and very pregnant looking (I'm affraid to guess the weight for fear it may be too optimistic; heavy). Tommy caught a 20" male that could have almost been her twin brother.
