Headed up to Big Sur with a small group of hardcore yakers. These guys don't fish but they've been paddling Big Sur for years. I'm excited to tag along with them. My Ecotour will end the moment I see a phat kelp bed or meter some solid structure (most likely a few yards off the beach).
My local tackle shop had some "new to me" glow in the dark lead heads. I picked up a few to give'm a try. Bringing out my 7" Fish Traps looking for Ling and Redzilla. A lot of small craft advisories from Central to Northern Cal but we're of course hoping for a little coastal relief; praying for some light to no wind in the early am just long enough to offer us a few hours of fishing. That place can really blow!
Thinking about bringing the video cam but it's tough to fish with your eye in a camera.
