: : : I hope this get posted on all of the yak msg boards. We should all e mail the landing and warn them if any epuipment is lost or if someone gets hurt, there will be law suits. Did anyone contact the Coast Guard? If not, I think they should. I just sent an e-mail to Islandia. I wrote:The kayak message boards are full of allegations that the Dolphin makes a practice of coming far too close to kayakers who are peacefully fishing. You must do something to stop this practice. If it continues someone will be hurt and your liability will be clear. Thank you for your attention to this matter.Bruce E. WrightProfessor of Political ScienceCalifornia State University FullertonI should have sent a copy to the Coast Guard. A lot of e-mails might have some effect. Everyone involved should understand the potential for real trouble from these incidents. Let's let them at least hear a lot of noise. It seems I was a little less tactful in my response to Islandia. I also put this link up on the Allcoast board where it was later removed.Dear Sirs,Your boat The Dolphin nearly took out a kayaker today. It was apparently a deliberate attempt to satisfy some deep seated animosity. Before you pass this off, know that I have been verbally assailed by the moron who runs this ship before. If he is in range of my digital camera the next time he tries a stunt like that, I will be the number one witness in court in an assault charge. Dr. Gary B. Myers OD
Sheesh. Two doctors (mine's just a Ph.D.)and an assistant city manager. All we need is a lawyer. I happen to be married to one but she does criminal defense so maybe the captain will need her.
