Everyone involved should understand the potential for real trouble from these incidents. Let's let them at least hear a lot of noise.
Following my own advice I also e-mailed the Coast Guard as follows:
I am an avid reader of several kayak fishing bulletin boards. It is concerns me very much to see numerous statements about how one sport fishing boat, the Dolphin, has harassed kayak fishermen, endangering them with large wakes, etc. I have no personal knowledge of these events but surely your office might make some enquiries.
