: : the Dolphin suddenly changed course, turned and charged me, turning again only at the last second and only enough to just barely keep from hitting me direct. The wake all but flipped me and did flip another kayaker who was also present. John, Sorry to hear you guys had a run in with the Dolphin. I do know someone who owns a landing locally, and they do have the right and under the right circumstances will have a boat leave their landing. Also under California boating laws, the Dolphin is responsible for any damages etc. that it's wake causes. Getting people to go along may be hard, but an avenue to take care of this problem may be for everyone that this happens to to write the landing and complain. I think this may help to establish a paper trail to the landing itself, and may help to give an attorney the means one may need to hold the landing financially responsible, as well as the captain and owner of the boat. Since most cities also get a % of what a landing takes in, they may get nervous if they were to recieve such letters also. Just a thought, Perry C.

Good idea Perry!
