: : The right conditions = Bait = FishWrong Conditions = No Bait = No FishWhile reading this board at times I am surprised at the number of kayakers asking others about the fish they caught, and the most asked questions are "What lure, jig, bait did you catch that on?" If you think about this for just a minute, it actually doesn't matter THAT much about what it was they caught it on because THAT question should be asked about the fifth or sixth question down the line. The questions that should be asked are
about bait (tons of bait, some, none) tide (incoming, slack, outgoing), current (speed &
direction) water conditions (clear, dirty, green, ect) depth, structure, water temp and then (golly!) what the heck did you catch that big toad on?Something to think about.....Bent Rod Great advice…thanks for sharing

Great post.....as a freshwater fisherman I make the same foolish mistakes. I concentrate on the lure and fishing technique when all along the importance is the location and attitude of the fish....what they are doing, where and why....

Great post!!! Thanks, and Good Fishing, Mac
