: Went out yesterday for a leasurly paddle. Launched easily at ash street, dragged a rapala up to carp reef. did not see too much bait. A few other kayakers out there - one had some luck on a couple of sandies and a calico - but alas none for me. Farmed a few quality hits, landed a couple of snags. Also tried the slough area for a few short bites, and a wave over the back of the boat - need to pay attention - All in all a great day on the water, just not very fishy. water was very warm, felt great to go for a swim.
I haven't been out since last week, but around Malibu, the water was dark green and "dirty". Bad vis. How was it up there? Now that summer is in full swing, I may head on up that way. Especially on those days the water is dirty green around the Bu.
