Launched w/ OCEANHUNTER at about 6am. No surf, almost no wind.........fantastic conditions. We hit up some kelp
stringers in about 50ft that paid off big time. We had 10 fish in the first 30-40 minutes. Assortment of Rockfish, Calicos, Reds, Sandies, UFOs.
We found a nice reef without any
stringers that seemed to yield a fish per cast for about 2 hours. I was using shrimp flies and plastics. The bite seemed to shut down towards 11:00.
I'd have to guess we caught about 30+ fish between the 2 of us.
I kept a few reds and a couple sandies.
