When ever I troll with Raps,I get the yak moving first, then put the reel in free spool as I continue to paddle, usually at least a 50 count, up to and 80 count, letting the line out as I paddle. Then put the reel in gear and paddle so you can see the lures vibration in the rod tip. I never use lead in line,or add any other lure inline. I feel the lure is best by itself, course thats my 2 pesos. TL Rhino
