Got to Tidelands at 7:20 A.M. I met Jim Matsurio there with his new Fish N Dive. We got rigged up and headed over to Glorietta Bay. We drifted and chucked lures for a couple of spotties. I got one on a chartreuce/white spinnerbait. It was slow there so we headed over to the flat in front of the Seal Base. I picked up a fat spottie trolling a Rebel Spoonbill on the way. We got to the flat and Jim nailed a spottie right away. We made a few drifts and I got 4 nice spotties. I got a double hook up one time. The fish seemed to be in tight to the shore. You can't get closer than 100 yards to the Seal base, so we got as close as we legaly could and that seemed to be where most of the fish were. The wind had picked up alot and the water was getting pretty choppy. We went back to Glorietta Bay for a couple of drifts for nada. We decided to finish up around the sailboats off of the beach. I picked up a couple of bass and Jim picked up 3 nice ones. We called it a day at 1:30 all in all a nice day on the water, and a sunny one for a change.
