launched @ 07:00 to a no wind grey bay morning. water temp. was about 69* when i bought a shot of 'chovies. laziness kept me bay bound till about 10:00. hooked 2 dink 'buts and a gorgeous 27" wsb that i couldn't stretch that last inch. a cool pb'r gave me about 5 live candies with which i promptly hooked a 3lb. sandi' (kept) and a whopping 4lb. spottie, both in the same spot i'd been dragging chovies across and getting short strikes. that's why i believe that big fish are always there. they simple have far more refined tastes. went outside with the squid and landed an itty bitty baby thresher. another couple sandies and the candie was all gone. i pouted, i quit and i left! oh, i did luck onto a crabber who sold me $5 bucks worth ( wholesale ) so it'll be a tasty lunch tomorrow:) t.l.'s & clicks
