From OB the quickest way is to take Nimitz Blvd until you reach Rosecrans. Go right at Rosecrans then about 3 blocks make a left on to Shelter Island Dr. The ramp is on your left across from Kona Kai Marina. Note: If fishing Everingham Bros. Bait Barge is right there when you launch. Great Halibut Fishing between the Pier and Boat Ramp. Just avoid the Bait Barge between 6-8am and again 12-1 when the party boats are baiting up and in a rush to get to fishing grounds.

Rob: Does anyone know the best way to get to the shelter island boat ramp from Ocean Beach... Thanks! Also As far as the San Diego bay goes, does anyone have a preference where to launch? thanks again!
