: Thanks for your submission. It's not easy putting a story like that down in writing. It's a great reminder for everyone fishing from kayaks of how quickly and easily something could go wrong. I'm sure kuaiguy is not the only one with a story like this. I read a post last year of a guy that left his hatch covers off while he had his rod in the rod holder. If I remember correctly, the drag wasn't set correctly either (if it's in gear, the drag should be super super loose). The yak flipped when he hooked up. If it wasn't for someone on a skiff, he may have lost more than equipment. jas
