Vito was the 1st to launch around 5 AM. I was right behind him. Brian (LGG) and Thomas were making ready on the beach. I took a face full and up and over the second, 2 footers with a stray 3 foot. Light offshore breeze, swung around and was almost nothing. Only 1 skiff at first light and only 1/2 dozen all morning. Kelp cutter was out along the north edge all morning making a slow trollers nightmare. 200 yards off the kelp and you were still going through an obstacle course of loose stringers. I worked 3/4 the way to the NW along the edge and worked the 120 foot depth on the way in. Had a tank full of Spanish and cast on a bait ball and got a couple Sardines and Green Macs. Ended up with a Barracuda on the Dine and that was it for me. Thomas, a freind of Brian's got the only fish of the right kind. Tons of Purple Jellyfish. Sometimes I would rather watch someone get there 1st fish than get one myself........sometimes.
Andy
